Episode 2 The Frozen Echo

Nancy returns to the Nexus a sanctuary from the Blight with a fading compass and the burden of past failures weighing on her She and Arlen Whitlock rehearse a ritual to recharge the compass which reveals a town consumed by ice and indicating a dark threat They encounter Jory Quickfingers a streetsmart young man who Nancy decides to ally with despite Arlens reservations As they approach the frozen town they learn of a malevolent figure Malric Vayne the Shadow Puppeteer who has stripped the town of its protective rain unleashing chaos In the midst of a battle against Malric and his shadow constructs Jory discovers a golden pen that writes cryptic messages about a hidden danger unleashed by the absence of the rain Ultimately Nancy resolves to confront Malric only to realize they must regroup and prepare for an even greater adversary tied to the ancient powers at play
